Last year, Nottingham established a relationship with a sister school in the rural mountains of Uganda.  Matuwa Junior School is a small, new school with very few resources. Students learn in English and have started a letter writing relationship with some of of students.

Ugandan schools have only recently reopened and so far only 4th grade and up have returned to school.  The next students to return will be the lower grades.  Recently, we received letters from some of the students who describe what it has been like for them during the pandemic.  Each classroom teacher has some letters to discuss with our  students. As an example, here is a link to four letters that we recently received.
