Raise Craze FAQs
What is Raise Craze?
Raise Craze is a kindness-based fundraiser where students ask friends and family for donations online, then pay it forward by completing Acts of Kindness. Instead of selling products, students spread positivity while raising money to support Nottingham programs.
How does my child participate?
Each student will get a link to set up their personal fundraising page with adult help. From there, families can share the link with friends, relatives, and neighbors to ask for support.
What are Acts of Kindness?
Acts of Kindness (AOKs) are simple good deeds like writing a thank-you note, helping a neighbor, or picking up trash. Students choose their own AOKs to complete during the fundraiser. It’s about effort and kindness, not how many donations they receive.
When is Raise Craze happening?
October 6–17, 2025. Kindness Night takes place on Thursday, October 16th. More details to come!
Where does the money go?
Over 97% of donations go directly back into Nottingham. Funds support:
- Classroom supplies, books, and STEAM projects
- Art, music, PE, counseling, and library programs
- Field trips and enrichment activities
- Community events like Fall Social & Mayfest
- Courtyard upkeep and staff appreciation
- Student leadership programs
What is our fundraising goal?
We need to raise at least $25,000 to support Nottingham this year.
How can families help?
- Register your student’s page once you receive instructions (registration tutorial here).
- Share their link with family and friends.
- Encourage your child to complete Acts of Kindness.
- Celebrate their effort — every act and every donation counts!
What is Kindness Night?
Kindness Night is the celebration at the end of Raise Craze. Instead of a traditional fundraiser “wrap-up party,” students, families, and staff come together for an evening focused on giving back and building community.
Typical activities include:
- Stations where kids can complete simple Acts of Kindness (writing thank-you notes to teachers, making cards for community helpers, assembling kindness rocks, etc.)
- Community-building games or activities
- A celebration of meeting (or getting close to) the fundraising goal
It’s a way to close out the fundraiser by highlighting kindness.
Do students have to raise money to participate?
No. Every student is encouraged to complete Acts of Kindness whether or not donations are made in their name. All students are included.
Can donors get a tax receipt?
Yes, Raise Craze automatically provides donation receipts via email.
Is there a prize or competition?
Raise Craze emphasizes kindness, not prizes. That said, there may be fun school-wide incentives if we meet our goal. (Details will be shared during the fundraiser!)
